Shell Canada does not have a single corporate headquarters, but rather a major regional office in Calgary, Alberta, and a significant office in Toronto, Ontario. The company also has other operational sites across Canada, including the Sarnia Manufacturing Centre (Corunna Refinery) in Ontario, and the Scotford Complex in Alberta. 

Specific Shell Canada Locations include:

  • Scotford: the Shell Scotford Complex, located 40 kilometres northeast of Edmonton Alberta, consists of a bitumen upgrader, oil refinery, chemicals plant and the Quest Carbon Capture and Storage facility near Edmonton, Alberta. The Quest Carbon Capture and Storage facility is designed to capture and store CO2 from hydrogen production. 
  • Montney: An exploration opportunity in the Montney formation, Gold Creek is one of the most active resource formations being developed in Canada. The Gold Creek project is an appraisal and development opportunity located in the Montney formation, which is approximately 80,000 acres and located approximately between 15 and 40 kilometres south of Grande Prairie, Alberta. Shell has approximately 40 wells on-stream in the area. It is one of the most active resource formations being developed in Canada.
  • Groundbirch produces methane, natural gas liquids and condensate. The natural gas produced from the Montney formation is situated 2,500 metres below ground, trapped within a mixture of siltstone and shale. It is located about 50 kilometres south of Fort St. John, British Columbia.
  • Brockville: Shell Canada’s Brockville Lubricants Plant, located in Brockville, Ontario, is the largest blender and packager of retail passenger car motor oils in Canada. Brockville produces more than 200 different formulations of automotive, aviation and industrial lubricating oils.
  • Sarnia: Shell Canada’s Sarnia Manufacturing Centre, also referred to as Shell's Corunna Refinery, is located about 10 kilometres south of Sarnia, Ontario. Crude oil refined at the Centre helps meet southern Ontario’s transportation fuel needs, such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel.
