Q1. Why is Stellantis ending the 10-Year / 160,000 km Powertrain Warranty after 2026?

A1. Stellantis and RAM are restructuring their factory warranty programs across Canada. Beginning with the 2027 model year lineup, factory coverage will revert to the standard 5-Year / 100,000 km powertrain warranty structure, making 2026 the final model year eligible for the extended 10-year protection.


Q2. What warranty coverage will come with 2027 RAM trucks?

A2. Starting with the 2027 model year, all new RAM 1500, 2500, and 3500 trucks will include a standard 5-Year / 100,000 km Powertrain Limited Warranty. They will no longer feature the additional 5 years or 60,000 kilometres of extended coverage that comes standard on 2026 models.


Q3. If I buy a 2026 RAM truck that is currently in-transit to Redwater Dodge, do I still get the 10-Year Warranty?

A3. Yes! As long as the vehicle is a 2026 model year RAM, it retains full eligibility for Canada’s 10-Year / 160,000 km Powertrain Limited Warranty, whether it is currently on our lot or in-transit from the factory.


Q4. How much financial value do I lose by waiting to buy a 2027 RAM instead of a 2026 model?

A4. Because the 2027 models feature virtually no mechanical changes over the 2026 lineup, waiting for a 2027 model means forfeiting 5 full years and 60,000 kilometres of factory powertrain coverage. In terms of out-of-pocket repair protection and long-term resale value, this represents thousands of dollars in lost warranty value.


Q5. Can I combine the 10-Year Powertrain Warranty with 0% financing or cash rebates?

A5. Yes! Eligible 2026 RAM models allow you to stack Canada's Best 10-Year / 160,000 km Powertrain Warranty with promotional financing rates, including as low as 0% for 72 months on gas trucks and 0.99% on Cummins® diesel trucks, plus existing dealer discounts and factory rebates.


Q6. How much time do I have left to buy a 2026 RAM with 10-Year coverage?

A6. This coverage is strictly limited to remaining 2026 Ram Truck inventory. Once our on-ground and in-transit 2026 RAM stock is sold, the 10-Year / 160,000 km Powertrain Warranty program will be officially closed across Canada.


Q7. Does the warranty expire after a specific period or after a certain number of kilometres driven?

A7. Yes, warranty coverage ends when either the time (10-years from date of purchase) or distance limit (160,000kms) is reached, whichever comes first.


Q8. Is the warranty valid if the powertrain is damaged in an accident?

A8. No, accident-related damage is not covered by the warranty. In those cases your vehicle's insurance applies.
